Self Catering Cottages in West Wales
"Cottage meticulously prepared for us. Exceeded our expectations. Lovely welcome pack of bread, cheese and wine. . Tea, coffee, milk, butter, Welsh cakes - all the basics there for us. The setting is idyllic. Absolute gem of a place for an authentic, get away from it all but extremely comfortable holiday. A walkers, nature lovers, paradise"
"We had a fantastic time at Spinners Cottage. It has everything you need, is extremely comfortable and the wood burner is an added bonus as we enjoyed lovely cosy evenings in with our 1 year old. It's a good base to explore west Wales and the nearby coastal areas. Sam and Don are the perfect hosts and have created lovely well equipped self catering cottages which are furnished to a high standard and went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay and had everything we need. There was a lovely welcome pack waiting in the kitchen when we arrived which was perfect as meant we could enjoy a nice snack after a long journey before having to hit the shops. They even bought a garden play set for our son to enjoy which was so thoughtful plus they were able to provide a travel cot and high chair so we did not have to bring our own. The cottage is set in a little hamlet overlooking fields. It's so peaceful there and all you can hear is the sound of the river flowing - bliss! Its a great base for walkers and hikers too with plenty of walks around. All in all a great find for a relaxing trip to Wales."
"The owners made every effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable and exceeded expectations with gifts of consumables at the start of our holiday and at the beginning of the second week"
"The cottage is situated in a lovely part of the country. The atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful. The Weaver Cottage is so well appointed the owners Samantha and Don have not forgotten a thing in the cottage to make the stay very comfortable. They have thought of everything. Their generosity in providing a welcome pack is to be applauded. Would definitely use this accomdation again. Took a little bit of finding but no great problem"
"The owners are an absolute delight making sure we had everything we needed and were very friendly"
"The cottage was beautiful and the owners were absolutely lovely. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They greeted us with cold drinks and we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of essentials which they had left in the cottage. Samantha and Don recommended places to go and things to see and we really had a fantastic time in a cottage that was decorated to a high standard. We look forward to going again."
"The cottage was located in a pretty and friendly village with the mill being set in its own very well maintained gardens"
"We want to thank both of you for sharing your beautiful property with us this week. We loved our time in West Wales and especially loved returning to Spinners every day"
"We would like to thank you both for a lovely stay in Waterwheel and Weavers cottages. With such a big age range (9 to 84 years) we found the cottages suited all our needs with easy access in to the cottages and a lovely garden to all share and relax in. The location is stunning and very conveniently situated as a great base to explore the region. We never seemed far from anywhere so travelling wasn’t an issue. Your recommendations to some lovely beach coves, local restaurants and walks were also invaluable, we never realised how much there was to see and do in your region. We will definitely be booking with you again for next year as soon as the dates are available and will be recommending you and your cottages to our friends"
"Really charming cottage run by very friendly people. Even in winter, it was a nice place to stay."
"Well maintained and clean cottage, lots of pleasant walks in the vicinity. Can't wait to come back."
"The cottage was a fantastic experience. The cottage was very clean, warm and spacious. The surrounding was just so relaxing - there was a river near by and you can even hear birds singing. The garden also allowed us to sit and enjoy the outdoor experience. There was bread, milk and eggs in the fridge which was a good surprise. The owner was very friendly. I think this was a bonus having the owner on the premise as we were able to ask for assistance when needed. There was a local shop where we were able to buy food and the locals were very friendly. There are good attractions - the owner sent us a list of things we could do. We went to the Wool Museum which was an educating experience. Overall, we would definitely recommend"
"We stayed in this cottage some time ago but with different owners. The new owners were thoughtful and kind, providing various drinks and some more than essential supplies. We had (Welsh of course) bread, milk, jams, butter and cakes plus lots of washing up liquid, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls etc and really anything else we needed. Plenty of information was available on Wales, the surrounding area, things to see and do making our stay a pleasure."
"We stayed in Weavers Cottage and found plenty to do in the local area. Thoroughly recommended."
