Aberglasney Gardens are just a 45 minute drive from Dolgoch Mill Cottages and whilst you could easily spend the best part of a day enjoying all that Aberglasney has to offer, it can easily be combined with a visit to Dinefwr Park, Paxton Tower or a wander around Llandeilo.
We visited the gardens on an overcast Summer day, but the grey sky did not detract from the splendor of the gardens!
It is stated as being one of Wales’ finest gardens and has 10 acres of magnificent gardens, a unique Elizabethan cloister garden and the ground floor of Aberglasney’s grade II* listed mansion to explore.
Once you have explored the interior of the mansion you can start to explore the many aspects of the gardens such as the yew tunnel, ninfarium, cloister garden, Bishop Rudd’s walk… and much more.
You may be lucky enough to see some of the White Park Cattle or deer that roam fenced off areas of the park and there is a tearoom that overlooks the Pool Garden and a shop that sells plants and gifts.
Check out the Aberglasney website for upcoming events.
